Meet Our Team : Donna Pate-Stumpfel

Position : K9 Handler, Member-At-Large

K9(s) : Mystique

Donna joined MDRD in December 2005. Her husband (Ron) and son (Thomas) also joined at that time. The idea of working a search and rescue K-9 was her sons initially. When he watched the K-9’s working the tower after 9-11 he wanted to be able to work his own dog. When Donna's son got to go to a breeder and select a dog they both fell in love with the puppies. So, they came home with two dogs instead of one! Donna’s dog is Mystique. Donna loves Search and Rescue and will be beginning her second year on the Board of Directors as Member-At-Large. She has attended and passed the MLSO class in Search Management , is a qualified escort, and in September became certified as a SARTECH II. Mystique has received AKC‘s Canine Good Citizen and is working toward beginning testing. Donna has attended several searches as an escort and looks forward to the day she and Mystique will be an operational team.
